A Beautiful Day
We had a beautiful ceremony in Oak Park to celebrate Cody’s miraculous 14 years. Ken Craft delivered an amazing eulogy. Will Simes played and sung some beautiful songs. There were hundreds of people, many hugs were given and so many people spoke. We can’t say enough about the support and we were so impressed with Cody’s friends, and their families. The way in which the kids handled themselves, the messages they delivered, the song sung, the skateboard, the guitar, the stories, the football team sporting their jerseys, the roses, the love.
It was so incredibly difficult seeing all the kids at first. As the ceremony progressed and stories were told, it was refreshing, healing and a wonderful experience to share together. We laughed, we cried, we showed our appreciation to a great person, Cody.
We are so appreciative of the strength you have given us through this time. You have reinforced our belief that there is an innate goodness in people. It sure comes out in time like these.
